Apara Ekadashi Vrat Katha

Dharmaraja Yudhishthira says to Lord Krishna: O Lord! You have explained in detail about Ekadashi of Krishna Paksha of Vaishakh month i.e. Mohini Ekadashi. Now please, what is the name of Jyeshtha Krishna Ekadashi? And what is his story? What is the method of this fast, please tell all this in detail.

Lord Krishna started saying: O king! Ekadashi of Krishna Paksha of Jyeshtha month is known by both names of Achala Ekadashi and Apara Ekadashi. Because it is the giver of immense wealth. Those who observe this fast, they become famous in the world.

Lord Trivikram is worshiped on this day. Lord Vishnu, Lord Vitthal and Balaji are seen in Lord Trivikram.

Significance of Apara Ekadashi: -

With the effect of fasting on Apara Ekadashi, all the sins of killing Brahma, ghostly vagina, blasphemy of others, etc. By observing this fast, all the sins of becoming a foreigner, giving false testimony, lying, reading or making false scriptures, becoming a false astrologer and becoming a false doctor etc. are destroyed.

The Kshatriyas who run away from war go to hell, but by observing the fast of Apara Ekadashi they also reach heaven. Those disciples who take instruction from the guru and then condemn him, they surely fall into hell. But by observing the fast of Apara Ekadashi, they also become free from this sin.

The fruit which is obtained by bathing on Kartik Purnima in all three Pushkar or by offering Pind Daan to the ancestors on the banks of the Ganges, is obtained by observing Apara Ekadashi fast. By bathing in Prayagraj in the Sun of Capricorn, by fasting on Shivratri, by bathing in the river Gomti in Jupiter in Leo, by visiting Kedarnath or Badrinath in Kumbh, by bathing in Kurukshetra in a solar eclipse, by donating gold or by donating a half-maternity cow. The same result that one gets from fasting on Apara Ekadashi.

This fast is an ax to cut down the sinful tree. Fire to burn sinful fuel, like the sun to dispel sinful darkness, like a lion to kill deer. Therefore, one must observe this fast without fear of sins. By observing the fast of Apara Ekadashi and worshiping the Lord, a person gets rid of all sins and goes to Vishnu Lok.

Apara Ekadashi Vrat Katha:-

According to its popular story, in ancient times there was a godly king named Mahidhwaj. His younger brother Vajradhwaj was very cruel, unrighteous and unjust. He hated his elder brother. That sinner killed his elder brother one day in the night and buried his body under a wild peepal. Due to this premature death, the king started living on the same peepal in the form of a spirit and started doing many troubles.

One day suddenly a sage named Dhaumya passed by. He saw the phantom with the eye of knowledge and came to know about his past through Tapobal. With his tenacity, he understood the reason for the phantom violence. The sage, being pleased, brought down that phantom from the peepal tree and preached the knowledge of the afterlife.

The merciful sage himself observed Apara Ekadashi fast to get rid of the king's phantom vagina and offered his virtue to the phantom to free him from the agony. Due to the effect of this virtue, the king was freed from the phantom vagina. He took a divine body giving thanks to the sage and went to heaven after sitting in Pushpak Vimana.

Hey Rajan! I have told this story of Apara Ekadashi for public interest. By reading or listening to this one gets rid of all sins.
