6 Great Tips On How To Remain Krishna Conscious Inspite Of Super Busy Schedule.

You don't have to be disheartened if for some reason you are not able to dedicate the amount of time you used to before the covid for your spiritual practices. I can suggest some handy hacks you can use to keep your conscious Krishnised even when physically engaged in material activities.

Bhagavad-gītā (2.40), “There is no loss or diminution in this endeavor, and even a little advancement on this path protects one from the most fearful type of danger.”

These tips are useful not only during the covid crisis but also afterward for those who have a super busy life with a huge number of worldly responsibilities like, labor class people, people with corporate jobs, businessmen, new moms, and people in other similar roles.

Here are some practical useful tips:-

1. Try to offer everything to Krishna (if possible) before eating.

If not possible to offer everything in your case have some prasaadam every day. You can also keep some offered dry prasaadam like dry Tulasi leaves, rice from Jagannath puri, or any other dry foodstuff offered by you or someone. You can mix it with everything you eat.

While having prasaadam think of the spiritual changes that it would have gone through because of its contact with Krishna and feel blessed while having it. Thank Krishna, for not every living entity is blessed to have such transcendental food.

Bhagavad-gītā. (3.13)The devotees of the Lord are released from all kinds of sins because they eat food that is offered first for sacrifice. Others, who prepare food for personal sense enjoyment, verily eat only sin.

2. Play Bhajans or Keertans while cooking and completely absorb yourself in them.

When you completely absorb yourself in Krishna, your consciousness becomes Krishnised and this Krishnised conscious gets transferred to the Bhoga you are cooking and benefits everyone who eats it after being offered and Krishna also accepts it lovingly.

Sb. 9.24.62 Simply by receiving the glories of the Lord through purified transcendental ears, the devotees of the Lord are immediately freed from strong material desires and engagement in fruitive activities.

Scientific Evidence:-
Masaru Emoto, a Japanese author, and researcher has done research on the effects of different energies and thoughts on water. His findings discovered that human energy and consciousness affect water’s molecular structure.

The results of his experiments showed that positive thoughts, words, and prayers produce harmonious crystal formations in the water, and even cleanses polluted water. Whereas, negative thoughts and feelings produce fragmented, disharmonious crystal formations.

Bhagavad-gītā.(9.26) If one offers Me with love and devotion a leaf, a flower, fruit a water, I will accept it.

3. Do practice expressing gratitude to Krishna every time something nice happens to you.

No matter how small it is. It may be a nice prasaadam, nice wether, help from a friend, escaping an accident,  a good night's sleep,  your happy kid's, your spouse's success, a loved one's good health and so on.

SB 4.9.24The Lord continued: I am the heart of all sacrifices. You will be able to perform many great sacrifices and also give great charities. In this way, you will be able to enjoy the blessings of material happiness in this life, and at the time of your death you will be able to remember Me.

Take out few minutes every day and think of all the nice things in your life. Or just the nice things that happened that day. Do this exercise every day when you are relaxing or before sleeping. Soon, it will become a habit. You will be able to feel gratitude towards Krishna spontaneously whenever something nice happens, small or big.

Bhagavad-gītā. (18.17) One who is not motivated by false ego, whose intelligence is not entangled, though he kills men in this world, does not kill. Nor is he bound by his actions.

Bhagavad-gītā. (3.27) The bewildered spirit soul, under the influence of the three modes of material nature, thinks himself to be the doer of activities, which are in actuality carried out by nature.

One should also learn to practice gratitude to other entities. The best is to do physically to the doer, if not possible physically then at least mentally. It makes us humble and thus eligible for surrendering to Krishna.

4. Keep pictures of Lord Krishna at your workstation (office, kitchen, shop) in a very respectful way.

Keep it clean. Pray and seek blessings before you start your designated work. If you forget at the beginning, do it whenever you remember. This picture will also remind you of the "Gratitude Thing" whenever you achieve something good or escape something bad. When something bad happens you will not feel alone.

ŚB 9.24.61To show causeless mercy to the devotees who would take birth in the future in this Age of Kali, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Kṛṣṇa, acted in such a way that simply by remembering Him one will be freed from all the lamentation and unhappiness of material existence.

5. Be very careful about what you eat, read, hear, talk, think, watch, wear, associate with, and so on, as much as you can.

As someone said it rightly, "We become what we eat".Material nature consists of the three modes, goodness, passion, and ignorance. When the living entity comes in contact with nature, he becomes conditioned by these modes and the mode of goodness, being purer than the others, is illuminating, and it frees one from all sinful reactions. Those situated in that mode become conditioned by a sense of happiness and knowledge.” The mode of goodness makes us wiser than others and enriches us with material knowledge. This knowledge makes us feel superior and conditions us to believe the illusion that life is pleasant. Srila Prabhupada says that as long as we are attracted to working in this mode, we have to take some type of body under the modes of nature and remain bound to the material world and repeated birth and death. when the embodied being can transcend these three modes, he can become free from birth, death, old age, and distresses and enjoy nectar even in this life.

Chapter 17 of Bhagavad Gita, The Divisions of Faith clearly describes your choices if you wish to remain in the mode of goodness, the best state for progressing into the next stage, which is above three modes of material nature.
6. Serve Tulasi Maharani

In the  Skanda-Purana, Reva-khanda, it is said that one who recites prayers to Tulasi or sows a Tulasi seed is also freed from all offenses.

No amount of time and energy spent on the lord's services are "too much" but we all have some limitations because of material conditions and worldly responsibilities. We must try our best to do "our best" in given circumstances at every given instance of time to serve the Lord while balancing our other prescribed duties and becoming Krishna conscious, which is the main and the topmost purpose of this human form life.

Credits: Special thanks to the great devotee couple of Lord Radha-Madhav, Mrs. and Mr. Manish Daga for allowing me to use the pic of their beloved deities, Shree Radha-Madhav for this blog. They are wonderful initiated devotees of Lord Krishna who had been serving their deities in an extraordinary way for years along with the entire family.
