Story of Putrada Ekadashi

Story of Putrada Ekadashi

According to religious legends, a king named Suketuman reigned in the kingdom of Bhadravati. His wife was Shaivya. The king had everything, only no children. In such a situation, the king and queen used to be sad and worried. The worry of Pind Daan started troubling in the mind of the king. In such a situation, one day the king was sad and made up his mind to take his life, although he abandoned this idea due to fear of sin. One day the king was not interested in the royal text, due to which he went towards the forest.

The king saw birds and animals in the forest. Bad thoughts started coming into the mind of the king. After this, the king was sad and sat down on the bank of a pond. The ashrams of sages were built on the banks of the pond. The king went to the ashram and the sage Muni was pleased to see the king. He said Rajan, you should tell your wish. The king told the concerns of his mind to the sages. Hearing the concern of the king, the sage said that there is a son-in-law on Ekadashi. The sages asked the king to observe a fast on Putrada Ekadashi. King, he kept this fast from the same day and passed it on Dwadashi with the law. As a result of this, the queen conceived after a few days and after nine months the king got a son.
